The primary mission of the G-PISD Food & Nutrition Department is to assist student achievement through nutrition.

We believe all students should have access to meals that will furnish the nourishment required for optimal growth, development, and academic success.

We believe open lines of communication should be maintained between Food and Nutrition Services, students, parents, staff, and community.

We believe financial responsibility should continue to be practiced by Food and Nutrition Services.

We believe Food and Nutrition Services should provide and support professional training opportunities in order to maintain a well-trained, highly motivated staff.

We believe in providing a fun and exciting, safe and secure environment in modern, well-maintained facilities.

We believe all decisions should be based on the best interest of the students of our district.

We believe G-PISD Food and Nutrition Services is one of the top programs in the state of Texas.

We serve 3706 meals per day including lunch and breakfast!

83.2% of our students eat lunch every day in the cafeteria!
